Graded PMG 64 Choice Uncirculated. Specimen numbered 463 in red and overprinted GIAY MAU on each side in black. This banknote exists only as a specimen and has never been put into circulation. Printed by the Banque de France, it is very rare and sought-after! It was printed after the French defeat at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu and the signing of the Geneva Accords in 1954. These agreements ended the Indochina War and led to the division of Vietnam into two countries. The country was not reunified until 1976 after the victory of North Vietnam and the defeat of the United States of America and its allies in the Vietnam War.
