Detailed description

Profile on the right, in the ‘Aquitaine’ style. Hair divided into two rows of locks. The locks around the face are made up of encircled half-moons, while those in the second row are flame-shaped.

All around, a beaded cord connecting small heads. Pattern at the base of the neck.

Helmeted androcephalic horse to the right, surmounted by a stylised charioteer holding the reins with his right hand and brandishing a pearled torque with his left. Before, coming out of the horse's mouth, a crescent. Below, a hand set on a yoke-shaped bracket.

This coin belongs to the Group B of staters with a hand, with the type known as ‘à la coiffure Aquitaine’ (Aquitaine hairstyle), whose origins correspond mainly to the Santones territory rather than the Pictones territory.
