It includes 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50-centime coins, as well as 1- and 2-euro coins.\n\nThe date, 1998, although not inscribed, is known due to the edge of the 10- and 50-cent coins, which feature thin lines instead of the more widely spaced serrations. This change was implemented in 1999, notably to enable people with disabilities to identify and distinguish between denominations.\n\nAlthough manufactured in a British mint, these sets served as a form of advertising to encourage countries to mint their future euros at the Birmingham mint.\n\nThe coins in the set are thus identical to euros in terms of composition, diameter, and weight, and their designs share many similarities.
