Our example is in superb condition and very pleasing to the eye!\n\nRouen was the last of the mints to strike Saluts d'or for Henri VI. During the Hundred Years' War, the city was under English rule before being retaken by the French in 1449.\n\nHenri VI of Lancaster, who became King of France and England in 1422, was the grandson of French King Charles VI. His reign in France ended in 1453 with the final defeat of the Hundred Years' War.
