Our example has a veiled flan, a few hairlines and marks on the edge, and a thin scratch on the reverse.\n\nRouen was the last mint to strike Saluts d'or for Henri VI. During the Hundred Years' War, the city was under English rule before being retaken by the French in 1449.\n\nHenri VI of Lancaster became King of France at just one year of age in 1422. Grandson of Charles VI, King of France, from whom he inherited his fits of madness, he was also King of England. His reign in France ended in 1453 with the final defeat of England in the Hundred Years' War.
