It is also a proof printed on fiduciary paper and therefore has no watermark.\n\nPale blue in color, it is designed by Lucien Fontanarosa and follows in the tradition of banknotes depicting historical figures who have contributed to France's heritage. The portrait of Maurice-Quentin de la Tour is directly inspired by one of his self-portraits, which he painted in 1742. It's a pastel on gray-blue paper housed in the Musée Antoine Lécuyer in Saint-Quentin.\nMaurice-Quentin de la Tour was one of the greatest pastelists of his time, renowned for his portraits in this medium. He worked for numerous personalities, including France's King Louis XV, the royal family and the court of Versailles, hence the presence of the palace in the background. As for the reverse, it illustrates his origins and the importance of his home town, of which he was a benefactor.\n\nThis banknote, in superb condition, pays tribute to a great 18th-century French artist. Extremely rare, a must-have!\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"cdma","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":52263463158092,"sku":"980302","price":2850.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0637\/1655\/7029\/files\/980302A.jpg?v=1743494721","url":"https:\/\/www.numiscorner.com\/products\/980302-50-francs-quentin-de-la-tour-specimen-ndeg12","provider":"Numiscorner.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
