Unfortunately, we notice that the specimen has been cleaned, leaving hairlines in the fields, and it appears to have been mounted as a jewellery. Two attachment marks in the reverse fields are visible, and the legend letters above these marks are partially flattened. Also, a mark at 3 and 9 o'clock indicates that this coin was formerly worn at some point. However, it remains in an excellent state of preservation, with very little wear from circulation on the representations on both the obverse and reverse. The Apollo in particular is still very beautiful, with many details in the drapery as well as in the attributes he is holding. Struck under Antoninus Pius, it shows Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, a few years after his accession to power in 161.
