This Pax was introduced in 75, when Titus was consul for the 4th time (COS IIII) while he was still Caesar, and was kept for some time the following year in 76, when Titus was elected consul for the 5th time. A denarius was recently seen in a sale (14\/09\/2023), but with different dies. It is difficult to determine whether the \"V\" was re-engraved on a reverse die engraved \"IIII\" due to the advanced degree of circulation wear, but it is clear that very few coins were issued for this type as it was quickly stopped during 76.
