Born in Poland in 1912, he was a genius forger who notably imitated the 100 Nouveaux Francs Bonaparte. Very close to the official style, his art nevertheless stands out due to a few small details, some of which are practically invisible to the naked eye. The two most obvious ones are located on the obverse of the note and are characterized by the absence of a single line. This absence can be seen at the top left in the branch of the orange star and in the green leaf above the “1” in “100 NF” at the top right. Other details that distinguish the real from the fake are the quality of the watermark and hatching, the space between the margin and the denomination, and Napoleon Bonaparte's thicker hair. Bojarski was arrested in 1964 and died in 2003, but his name has remained in numismatics as that of a highly talented counterfeiter.
