Victory in Europe Day

75 years ago World War II was coming to an end.

May 8th 1945 was the day of the formal acceptance by the Allies of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces.

Actually, facts are a little bit more complicated than it looks at first sight, because Germany's capitulation has already been signed on May 7th in Reims (France). However, it must be approved in attendance of Stalin. It has been done the very next day, therefore May 8th, in Berlin.
